So yes, I’m here Tuesday. It’s Tuesday, and I’m live on YouTube today. Goodness me. Do you know what it’s no wonder I forget what day it is and where I’m supposed to be. So welcome to my office, I am Anna Green, and I run Direct Selling Success where I teach network marketers, direct sellers, and affiliates. Anybody that sells to build their business, to grow it and scale it in a way that’s comfortable with them in a way that they love, in a way that doesn’t feel icky or awkward or spammy in a way that doesn’t lose their friends. So I thought just to kick us off, because I am brand new to YouTube, I’ve been doing this business for two years, but brand new to YouTube, I will talk about growing your customer base, because I think that the customer base, it’s the most important thing in your business, you’ve got to be consistently growing a customer base to be able to bring in new people, new eyes on your business, to bring in new sales, to bring in that network of people who are going to buy from you on a regular basis who will then if you do parties or events will help you book the parties and events, or will hold them for you, then they’ll join your team, then they will become leaders and earn you lots of money. So the idea of not growing your customer base consistently for me when I joined network marketing 17 years ago was not a thing, I would not have ever thought of doing anything but consistently bringing in new customers because I knew that if I regularly brought in new people into my world, I would regularly get people buying. And I did it in a way that felt comfortable to me. And this is the important thing. In this industry, a lot of the time we get a bad rap for doing things in a bit of a spammy way in a cold prospecting, hard sell way. And I have never done that. I don’t teach that I teach a way of building a customer base, which is genuine, authentic, down to earth, fun and friendly and repeatable. And it’s not spammy at all, there is no find random person, add random person on Facebook, send them a copy and paste message to go and look at your business opportunity. None of that do not do that. I do not do that at all. It’s okay for some people to do that. I don’t think that I could ever do anything like that because my thoughts and feelings would be hurt. If I just got consistent no’s all the time, it would do my head in. And I’d hate to get blocked by people on Facebook. And I’d hate to lose my friends list. Because they’re all ignoring me because they think I’m gonna sell to them again. That’s just not for me. I wanted my business to be something that I absolutely love to do that I love to share with other people because of the benefits and the way it solves problems and the way it helps people. Hence why I don’t drop into all your inboxes and go, hey, come and buy my stuff, you need to buy it, otherwise you’re gonna fail miserably a direct selling. That’s not how this works not in my world. So anyway, we’re on tip number three. Tip number three, you’ve had tip number one and two. So number one was getting the goal set in place so you know what customers you need to go get out and do it. Number two was know who that customer is that ideal client. And number three is one of my favourites. And I think a lot of people in network marketing and direct selling forget this one. Be you be as you as you possibly can be in network marketing, we’ve got an over umbrella company that looks after us, that gives us the tools and the products and the ability to go out and sell them to earn money.

We don’t want to look like the company. We are not the company, we are selling on behalf of the company. But they’re not us. They’re not our brand. Yeah, they’ve got all these beautiful, pretty images and they’ve got gorgeous, like social media tabs that you can use, though they put out phrases that you can put out there as well. They give you  company training that you can use and pass down to your customers and your team mean, but it just sounds really corporate, your audience don’t buy corporate, they buy you people buy people, especially in this industry. If all your imaging, if your profile, if your customer page, if your group on Facebook, and Pinterest, if it all looks like the company, nobody’s going to buy into you, there’s not, you’re not going to stand out in any way, you’re not going to be visible in any way, you need to be as authentically you as you possibly can be. And this is so important because you’ve got to stand out from all those other people in your same company or selling a similar product, in your village, in your Facebook network, in your social media, you’ve got to stand out and the only way to stand out is you you’re the difference between you and somebody else thats selling the same product. So be you. Share what you love, share who you are, share why you do what you do. Get that out there to people, because when people get to know you, they’ll become to like you, they’ll start to know you more, you’ll start to know them more, because you’ll be forming this relationship. But then they’ll trust you more, trust you enough to buy. And this is the the important thing about this journey. This sales journey that you take people on in your business, when you’re starting to grow your customer base, or when you’re building it and growing it and scaling it, people have to know the real you. And they have to like, know and trust you, if they can’t do that there’s no loyalty, there’s no reason for them to buy from you. You’re no different from anybody else. Plus, if you’re trying to be somebody else, or trying to copy somebody else or be like somebody else thats been successful, you won’t come across as you you have to be you genuinely authentically you to get people to buy, to get people to trust you, to get people to know like and trust you. Okay, this is important and it has to shine through. So if you are a mad motorbiking chick, or a guy who absolutely loves to go wild swimming, or you are passionately involved in helping the environment, whatever it might be, however weird and wacky it might be, share it because people want to know, they want to know why you do what you do, what you get out of what you do. They want to know your family. You don’t have to share like pictures of your kids online and stuff but they want to know what you’re up to in the real world. So they can relate to you. Because when they relate they form that bond much more quickly. So think about today how you can go out there and build this like, know and trust how you can get out there and show you put one post on social media that shows you without a sale at the end, without telling them all about the company that you’re with, without sticking a join my team on the end if this relates come and join me, I didn’t know just be you. Just go out there and be you. Alright, so get resonating with people showing up as you. Alright, that is your challenge for today. I’m setting you a challenging this thing.
