Hello, everyone. Hi, how are you? Sorry for the bit poor there. YouTube is playing up something chronic. I’ve had to get on here and it was telling me that I couldn’t go live. It wasn’t a feature at the moment. What’s going on? So yeah, mini panic, but I’m here. I’m here. How are you all this morning, I hope you are well.

So my name is Anna Green. For those of you that have never met me before, I am a direct selling and network marketing trainer, I run a company called Direct Selling Success where I teach network marketers, and direct sellers to build and scale their businesses in a way that aligns with them. So my background is 17 years in the industry, I have built my business from getting a kit given at God, I think my gosh, middle of the middle of the month back in July 2008. To not knowing what to do with it, to getting a small amount of training as to what to do to book parties and to get people to buy, to building a massive business that I love. That I managed to go on loads of free holidays won incentives with the company and managed to build my own region. And now two and a half years, I have been running Direct Selling Success to teach others to grow and scale their businesses, to hit their goals and their dreams and to get them success, teaching the things that I did all those years to make my business’s success. So let me know if you’re watching, I would love to see, just give me a little comment, subscribe if you are loving what I’m doing on these videos and share with your teams. Because I think training in this industry is so important, the more training people can get the better from different people. And being able to help your team will ultimately make you more money.

So I am giving you as my first few forays into YouTube, my 10 top tips for growing your customer base because this is something that I talk about an awful lot. Hi, Linda, lovely to see you. I talk about growing your customer base being the foundation of your entire business. It’s where your sales come from. Because you can only go around your friends so often. It’s where your new recruits come from. It’s where your audience on Facebook come form, it’s where your future leaders come from. So you need to be consistently growing that customer base to be able to keep going in your business.

We are on Tip number seven already. Tip number seven. So I’ve been doing this what now seven weeks. Good grief. Tip number seven, we covered back back seven weeks ago. Having a goal, we covered knowing who your ideal client is, where they hang out, going to go and find them and building relationships with them. We talked about being you because people buy people, we talked about passion. And we have talked about being visible. And today we are talking about the goldmine, the actual thing that will mean that you know you have hit the the best thing ever is when people are doing your advertising for you so that you don’t have to go out there and do it quite as much. Or you do as much and you just get more for the stuff you’re doing. That is becoming the go to person. And what I mean by this is it is that point when somebody says, I don’t know, let me think I’m looking for somebody who sells hand cream. And everybody tags you because you sell hand cream and they like know and trust you to give that person that they’re referring to the best possible service and the best possible product

That is becoming the go to person. When you get tagged in those posts. When you get mentioned in the street. That means you’ve made it because you have become that person that everybody knows does that thing that you do, you are known as the hand cream lady, the candle man. That is that is gold. Because it means that your message is getting out there. Your message is getting out there to people who need to hear it, not necessarily just to your ideal client, but to people who know your ideal client. And that’s just brilliant. This is why it is important not to just try and stay with your customers and just talk to your customers and the people that you know are customers. This is where you have to build and expand your network because people know other people don’t they?  People know people who might be able to help you out, people know people who they would like to refer you to when they’ve built that relationship. And my way of selling is all about building this network of people building this network of people who like know and trust you to do a great job doing what you do best ie selling hand cream, face cream, candles, whatever it might be. So really start to think about how you can build this. How can you build this becoming the go to person, it’s by being visible. It’s by being you. It’s by having a goal and knowing who your ideal client is. So that people then know who your ideal client is, other people so that they know who to refer to you. So that they know exactly what you’re doing, and exactly what your mission is, and exactly what you sell, and who you sell it to, and the problems you can solve, and the results you can get for people so that when somebody says, I need this, they’ll tag you, because they trust you enough to tag you that you’re going to do a good job. And they know you well enough. They’ve built that relationship with you. It’s key, it’s key to this industry without coming across spammy. If you want to do the spammy thing, you’re watching the wrong type of videos, if you want to do the, you know, add friend, message them, a cold prospecting pitch, you’re in the wrong place. This is the relationship building side of selling and marketing for small businesses, specifically, the network marketing industry. It is just the best feeling when you’re tagged it really is because you know that that person has done that because they believe in you enough to spend that time and that effort thinking about you for that other person. It’s lovely. And imagine how it makes everybody feel, you know, you feel wonderful, that person feels wonderful for tagging you. The person who is wanting the product feels wonderful, because they’re going to get great service from somebody that somebody else trusts. And it is so much more powerful than you trying to sell to somebody, and you’re trying to get that person to buy if somebody else recommends you, that person, it’s much more social proof for that person. So key.

So how do you do it? You get out and you share what you do and why you do and why you love what you do. You share what your products are, you go and get consistent. You’re on social media, in the same places on social media, showing up being part of a community, building those relationships with other people in that community. If it’s out in the real world, get to the same fairs and events, show up in your local community, as that person and remind people, advertise, market yourself, be there as that person consistently sharing that same message sharing that same, that same joy and passion for what you do. And people will start to think actually, I know who that is. She’s the lady that sells X, you’ll forever be known as that person. My god, I was in a business 18 years ago, 18 years ago, and I was at a fair event just walking around on Sunday. And the lady said to me, Oh, you’re that lady that sells this. I said crikey, I’ve not sold that for 18 years, you still remember me for that. It’s just amazing what people remember you for. So be there, be that person who is consistent enough, who is sharing their stuff enough, who enough and authentic and getting out there enough for people to remember who you are and want to recommend you. If you come across as spammy. If you come across as pushy and salesy. If you come across as in your face, or not part of the community, they’re not going to recommend you. So it’s key that you become that person who you would want to be friends with, that person who is helpful. A person who is supportive of the community, that person who is there and reliable, and approachable and all those things that we like in a person. Because when you’re liked as a person, they will recommend your business, you are your business. Remember what I said earlier on people buy people who really do buy people. So you’ve got to be a people person to get that image, that referral and all those things and that sale more importantly.

Think about me.  So I am a Direct Selling Coach, I train and mentor network marketers and direct sellers. I say the same phrases all the time. I train and mentor network marketers and direct sellers to build a business that they love, to grow and scale their business in a way that I did without spam in a way that aligns with them. I say that enough that people know me as the lady who teaches network marketing in the right way. And I get tagged all the time, because I’m consistent with my messaging, because I’m in those groups adding value and being helpful because I am building relationships with other people. Honestly, it works and it’s something that you can do without feeling salesy and spammy without it being awkward. It is just about genuinely being you. So give it a try. See if you can become the go to person in your field and get out there in your networks and start building relationships.
